Your vogue1247 top has been on my list for some time now. Needless to say it's moved up since seeing how cute yours is! My favorite sewing project was a dress I made for my daughter for her third birthday. She picked out everything and was so amazed and proud of her party dress. It's when I realized how much happiness can come from a little hobby, and not just for me!
Pattern#2 is my favorite, #7 is interesting and #10 because who doesn't love making something for a little one?
I don't have a blog...yet, been wanting to try it. However you could contact me through burdastyle, I am sewneenee.jhargreaveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11573667025723639828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358797991838551459.post-47496168677625663092012-10-17T11:08:00.841-07:002012-10-17T11:08:00.841-07:00Wow!! You are right the New Look pattern is quite versatile. You can make a blouse, sleeveless top and even dress, and either buttoned up or just a wrap neckline! and you can use many types of fabric too. Butterick 5558 also will be a great addition. I think Cidell of Ms Celie's Pants made a dress from that pattern one time. :) Great picks, Ellen!Farhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18161910819110955837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358797991838551459.post-65473222885004326062012-10-17T10:53:50.337-07:002012-10-17T10:53:50.337-07:00Hi Njeri! Now I just need too make it less fancy dress so I can wear it again :)
http://button-lover.blogspot.com.au/2012/02/stoner-caterpillar-dress.html

My favourite pattern is the New Look 6829. I love the shape and it is so versatile. I also quite like Butterick 5558, mainly because its quite different to anything I have ever sewn before but I think I could use it to make something good for work during the long hot Perth summer!Ellen https://www.blogger.com/profile/00405434791158268648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358797991838551459.post-82086544359732376422012-10-17T03:05:23.290-07:002012-10-17T03:05:23.290-07:00I have a 3 year old son and when I was pregnant I ...I have a 3 year old son and when I was pregnant I bought a sewing machine. I made him quite a few flannel receiving blankets (2 large rectangles sewn together, turned inside out, top stitched) and now that we are no longer using them, and my sewing skills have improved quite a bit, I made flannel pants for him from some of the blankets. It's a nice way to keep those early memories and get something useful in return.
I would love the tops patterns since those are hard to find for me: Simplicity 5509 (one yard tops? am sold!!), Simplicity 3645 and New look 6829.
Njerihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06732235135317853637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358797991838551459.post-34798934781101205412012-10-17T00:24:40.686-07:002012-10-17T00:24:40.686-07:00You are so generous to be giving away your treasur...You are so generous to be giving away your treasured patterns!
